PackTogether does not collect, transmit or store any personal data. Everything you enter stays on your device.
What we collect
Nothing. PackTogether has no account system, no sign-up, no analytics and no advertising. We have no servers that receive your information, and the developer has no way to see anything you enter.
What stays on your device
The following is written to local storage on your iPhone and nowhere else:
- Trip names, destinations and travel dates
- Traveller names, whether each is an adult or a child, and their chosen avatar
- Packing categories, items, quantities, notes and packed states
- Which trip is currently active, and whether you've seen the intro screen
None of this is uploaded, backed up to us, shared or sold. It is not transmitted off your device at any point.
Children's privacy
PackTogether is designed for families and is rated 4+. You may enter children's names when adding travellers. Because that information never leaves your device and is never transmitted to us or to anyone else, no personal information about children is collected within the meaning of COPPA, the UK GDPR or the GDPR.
Tracking and third parties
The app contains no tracking technologies, no advertising identifiers and no third-party SDKs that collect data. It does not use the App Tracking Transparency framework because there is nothing to track. It requests no permissions — no location, contacts, camera, photos or notifications.
Network access
PackTogether works entirely offline and makes no network requests. It contains no code that communicates with any server.
Deleting your data
You can delete individual trips inside the app at any time by pressing and holding a trip and choosing Delete. Deleting the app removes all of its data from your device permanently. Because we hold no copy, deleted data cannot be recovered by us or by you.
Your rights
Data protection law gives you rights to access, correct, export and erase personal data held about you. We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to provide, correct or erase. All of your information is already under your direct control on your own device.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of the app ever introduces a feature that involves sending data off your device — for example syncing between devices — this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the change will be described in the app's release notes.
