Lantern Keeper is an iPhone app for putting your phone down at night. It is built so that there is nothing to collect. This page says what that means in practice.
Nothing. Lantern Keeper has no account, no sign-in, no server and no network access. The App Store privacy label for Lantern Keeper is Data Not Collected.
Each watch's start time, planned end time, whether it completed or ended early, and any reflection or note you add are stored only on your iPhone, in the app's own storage. Your preferences (watch length, notification and haptics choices) are stored the same way. They are included in your device backups if you have backups turned on. The developer cannot see any of it.
While the "Turn your phone face down" screen is open, the app reads the device's gravity reading to notice when the phone is resting face down. This needs no permission, happens only on that screen, and no reading is ever stored or sent anywhere.
If you switch on the morning notification, Lantern Keeper asks iOS for permission and schedules a single local notification on the device. No push notification service is involved and nothing leaves your phone.
None. Lantern Keeper contains no analytics, advertising or tracking code and no third-party software development kits.
Lantern Keeper does not read or write any health data and does not use HealthKit. It records when a watch began and ended; it does not know, and does not claim to know, whether you slept.
Swipe a logbook entry to delete it, or use Settings → "Delete all history". Deleting the app removes everything.
Lantern Keeper does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children, because it collects no information at all.
If a future version ever adds a feature that sends data anywhere, this policy will be updated first and the change will be clearly described in the app.
